Heian-jingu Shrine New Year's Day Kyoto Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

This is the Heian-jingu Shrine in Kyoto 2015 New Year's Day.
Time is around noon.The weather was still fine.
But, the mountain that looks to the other side of the torii gate had piled up snow.
Gagaku (court music of ancient Japan) was played at the precincts.
There has a bright and elegant atmosphere in the solemnity.

Kyoto Yasaka-jinja Shrine New Year's Day Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

This is the Yasaka-jinja Shrine in Kyoto 2015 New Year's Day.
This day, it snowed heavily in the evening, but it is sunny in the morning.

Here is the second largest in Kyoto to visit to Hatsumode.
(Hatsumode means to the first visit to a shrine for the year.)
But, Around 9:00 is less people. I could pray without waiting.
I could see leisurely the lovely votive picture of sheep.

It was early in the morning, but the stalls were open.

Food and Lucky charm, games, etc. There are a lot of various shops.
What I like is the mask!

Pikachu! ! ! ! cute! ! ! !

Kyoto Nishiki Tenmangu Shrine Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

Nishiki Tenman-gu Shrine is located on the Shinkyogoku-dori Street. There is the east end of the Nishiki market.
Mark is "a lot of lantern" and"Torii gate that penetrating through the walls of the building".
This torii gate was built in 1935.
In those days, the road width of the approach with torii gate were large than the current.
However, both sides of the land of torii is acquisition, building was built, it became current state.
Tip of Torii gate without broken, it is in the building.

Precinct is not widely, but many fun attractions include.
There is Nade-ushi (the rubbing cow), Omikuji(oracle written) machine, picture-story show,Famous water of Kyoto "Nishiki no mizu", and Center of this torii gate is the form of a mountain, called the "Nune-Torii".
Not only the people who visit the shrine is not extinct, some people come to draw the Famous water of Kyoto "Nishiki no mizu" that springs in the precincts.

Hatsumode Kitano Tenman-gu Shrine Snow Kyoto Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

I went to Hatsumode to Kyoto Kitano Tenman-gu Shrine.

Hatsumode means to the first visit to a shrine or temple for the year.
Many Japanese people visit a shrine or temple during the first three days of January, pray that the year will be happy.

I visited there in the afternoon of the next day when snow fell, but was still snow.
Snow piled up on the branches looked like a flower.

So beautiful!

Goou-jinja Shrine Kyoto Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

This is the Goou-jinja Shrine in Kyoto.
Located on the front of the Hamaguri-gomon Gate in the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

The enshrined deity is Wake no Kiyomaro and his older sister named Wake no Hiromushi .
Kiyomaro was to protect the imperial line, even while being sentenced to banishment.
And, he has contributed to the establishment of capital of Heian-Kyo.
There is the Kiyomaro's statue and picture of Hiromushi.

There are a lot of things to be named after the wild boar, including Guardian wild boar in the precincts.
This shrine is also known as the boar shrine.
This is due to a legend that When Kiyomaro was attacked by a thug, he was saved by 300 heads of wild boar that appeared suddenly.
 At this time, his injured leg has been  recovered enough to walk by the patron of wild boar.
From this legend, Kiyomaro has been faith even as legs of guardian.
The outer wall of the shrine, Kiyomaro and wild boar themed picture and old ten yen bill that his Portrait and wild boar and Precinct is printed has been decorated.

Precincts is not so widely, but there is giant Chinese quince tree and large pebble in addition to the wild boar.
Here is a shrine where you can enjoy even after the visit.

Mikane-jinja Shrine Kyoto Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

I took a picture of the Mikane-jinja Shrine in Kyoto.

As the name suggests, Mikane-jinja is shrine worshiping money and metal in general. This temple have been very faith in the local. Because it is a shrine dedicated to money, many worshipers seems to wish surrounding money, such as business prosperity or success of Securities and Exchange or lottery prize prayer.

Worship is possible 24 hours. Mikane-jinja Shrine in Midnight looks like the entire precinct is shining in gold. As would standing still involuntarily, this shrine have a unique atmosphere.

Shimogamo Shrine Tadasu No Mori forest Kyoto Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

I was shooting the Tadasu-no-Mori forest of Shimogamo-jinja Shrine in Kyoto.

Tadasu-no-Mori forest is grove of the village shrine surrounding the Shimogamo-jinja Shrine. There has been widespread virgin forest with about three times the area of Tokyo Dome. Tadasu-no-Mori forest is not only as a stage of traditional events such as Aoi, also famous as the location thought to be flowing with mystical energy.

I went to shoot it was the day after the rain of the time the autumn leaves of prime has passed. Although autumn leaves had finished, light leaking from between the trees that have been illuminated to sunset is so beautiful, I was able to enjoy the wonderful scenery.


Shimogamo-jinja Shrine Video

Shimogamo-jinja Shrine Kyoto Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

I was shooting the Shimogamo-jinja Shrine in Kyoto.

This shrine has been registered as a World Cultural Heritage. Here is one of the shrines and temples with the oldest history in Kyoto, Tadasu-no-Mori forest in the precinct is also famous. Not only a power spot, lined with a lot of Shrine buildings and national treasure and important cultural properties, it is plenty attractions.

Near the tower gate, there are famous as the god of marriage "Aioi-sha" and Kimigayo lyrics in familiar of "pebble".

There are really a lot of Shrine buildings and beautiful scenery to Shimogamo, it will vary depending on the season. So we even went many times there is a new discovery.

I'd like to cold season landscape also shooting of winter to visit now.

Kamigamo Shrine Kyoto Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

I took a picture of the Kamigamo-jinja Shrine in Kyoto.

This shrine has been known for Aoi-matsuri. The approach and the precincts are planted cherry. Cherry blossoms that bloom in the spring is very beautiful.

You can see the mountains of conical sand When you enter the precincts. This is called Tatezuna. Tatezuna represents which is the object of worship "Mt. Ko-yama". When you enter the back of the shrine there is a vermilion Tower Gate. When Passing through the gate there is a national treasure of the main hall, but it is currently under restoration.

Autumn leaves Seimei-jinja Shrine Kyoto Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100 Kyoto Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

I took a picture of the Seimei-jinja Shrine in Kyoto.

Here has been enshrined Onmyoji-ABE no Seimei. After the death of Seimei, this shrine was made in his mansion trace of foot of the Ichijo Modori-bashi Bridge. Five-pointed star (Seimei crest) is listed in place throughout the building, it is very impressive.

Shrine foundation at that time had a vast site. However, the scale is reduced gradually due to urban development by Hideyoshi Toyotomi and war, shrine was followed by a period of remains devastated.

In recent years, Onmyoji-ABE no Seimei became famous by such as games and comics and novels and movies. As Seimei is become famous, precincts is at once developed, now a lot of people visit the shrine.

Late autumn Kifune Shrine Kyoto Japan 4K SONY FDR-AX100

I took a picture of the Kifune-jinja Shrine in Kyoto .
Around the shrine is surrounded by trees dim daytime, there has been floating around the mysterious atmosphere.

The day I was taken, in the day of rain, which was only just the prime of autumn leaves, scenery is a little lonely shades of before winter preparation, Kibune is where the color of the red torii and landscape change with the seasons colors are beautiful.

Heian Shrine in the east of Kyoto is a relatively new shrine which was built in 1895. Beautiful shrine and wide precincts in glowing red like vermilion pillars and white walls with a green roof, will overwhelm what you see.
